Thanks to my bff Chino. He brought me here and witnessed for myself the hot air balloon fest. My first time.
We left Manila at around 3am and reached Dau, Pampanga in an hour. We took two jeepney rides going to the event. We thought we might get lost, but that's impossible to happen for a lot of travelers/backpackers like us lined up the streets of Pampanga heading to the same place we're going. Got so enthralled by the huge number of guests who traveled all the way from Manila or nearby towns just to witness this spectacular event. Cars and other types of vehicles flooded the streets of Clark. We didn't expect the large number of guests for it is too early. But I guess they seemed so agitated to witness the first event of the fest, the Hot Air Balloon.
Everyone has their own fair share of places to stay. Others set up tents so they could rest while waiting for the event to start. Others set up their cameras and video cams to capture the highlights of the fest. Our wait didn't take longer for participants started to set up their stuff when the sun hasn't risen yet.
The event also showcased exhibitions of airplanes, helicopters and jet planes. I've seen real planes as well, like the one they're using for search and rescue missions. Also, real men in their uniforms, from soldiers to coast guards.

I enjoyed a lot in this event. I learned a lot, seen a lot (esp my friend Chie), and received lots of goodies (brochures, pictures, button pins). I promise to come back here next year and witness this again. Time's well spent and the adventure's worthwhile!
